Comhghairdeas le páistí na Gaelscoile a bhí roghnaithe ar son na Gaelscoile san iománaíocht, sa chamógaíocht agus sa pheil mar chuid de chraobh an chontae Mini 7s.

Ina theannta sin, ghlac na na buachaillí agus na cailíní páirt i gcomórtais FAI do bhunscoileanna. Tá an chéad bhabhta sroichte ag na buachaillí agus d’eirigh leis na cailíní an tríú háit a bhaint amach.

Tá traenáil chamógaíochta fós ar siúl ag Leo ó Chlub Setanta lenár gcailíní agus tá áthas orainn fáiltiú arís roimh Jimmy Dooley chun tús a chur leis an dtraenáil pheile sna ranganna naíonán.

Chuireamar fáílte freisin roimh bhaill Chlub Gailf Cheatharlach a rinne breis ceachtanna le ranganna 5 agus 6. Glacann gach rang ó 1 go 4 páirt i gceachtanna snámha gach bliain. Faoi láthair, is iad Rang 1 (An M. Brían) agus Rang 3 (An M. Eithne) atá ag freastal.

Mar a bhíonn i gcónaí, táimid fíor-bhuíoch do gach duine a chabhraíonn linn cúrsaí spóirt a chur chun cinn sa Gaelscoil, idir mhúinteoirí, thuismitheoirí agus thraenálaithe.

Congratulations to the children chosen to represent the Gaelscoil in the hurling, camogie and Gaelic Football Cumann na mBunscol Mini-Sevens county selection day.

The girls and boys also took part in the FAI Primary five-a-side competitions. The boys have qualified for the next round, whilst the girls took 3rd place in their competition.

Leo from Setanta continues to train our camogie team and we are pleased to welcome Jimmy Dooley once more to introduce our infant classes to Gaelic Football. The camogie and hurling panels will get their first taste of competition this year in the urban schools’ indoor league shortly.

We welcomed members of Carlow Golf Club to the Gaelscoil this week too. They gave refresher lessons to Fifthand Sixth Class children. All classes from 1st to 4th take part in swimming lessons each year. At present, it is the turn of Rang 1 (An M. Brían) and Rang 3 (An M. Eithne).

As always, we are very grateful to the various visitors and our own staff who so give so much of their time to make so many different sporting opportunities available to our students.
