Tá obair na gcapall déanta ag an dá Rang 5 le déanaí chun seó den scoth a chur le chéile, bunaithe ar an gceoldráma, “Annie”. Chuir said an seó iontach seo i láthair do thuismitheoirí agus do dhaltaí na scoile agus ghlac siad páirt i gcomórtas “Coirm” chomh maith.

Reachtáladh an comórtas I Ros Mhic Treoin, Co. Loch Garman, agus ghlac scoileanna ar fud Chúige Laighean páirt ann. Bronnadh trí ghradam somtasach ar an drama mar aitheanas ar an gcur i láthair, an rince, an ceol is an aisteoireacht ghrúpa. Comhghairdeas ó chroí leis na páistí agus lena múinteoirí, Jill agus Clár. Beidh sé ar siúl arís ar an 24ú Márta san amharclann áitiúil do bhunscoileanna eile mar chuid de Sheachtain na Gaeilge.

Míle buíochas le Jean Robertson a dhear an cúlra agus le Stephen Harland a rinne taifeadadh ar an seó.

Our Rang 5 pupils have been working very hard to put together a fantastic show based on the musical “Annie”. As well as performing for the school and their parents, they also took part in the Irish language competition “Coirm”

The competition was held in New Ross, Co. Wexford and schools from all over Leinster participated. The students received 3 awards, recognizing their production from start to finish, the choreography , the acting and musical numbers. Well done, to the children and to their teachers An M. Clár and An M. Jill. It will be performed again on March 24th for other primary schools in the local theatre as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Thanks also to Jean Robertson who painted the scenery and to Stephen Harland for recording the dvd.
