A number of events were held in the Gaelscoil during the week. As part of
their preparation for Confirmation, our sixth class pupils spent a day on retreat with the Graiguecullen Parish Youth Ministry. They also made a trip to Old Leighlin and followed the tradition of “making rounds” at the Holy Well as well as visiting the cathedral.
Ghlac an scoil uile páirt i searmanas i Halla de Róiste agus chuir Rang 2 fáilte roimh a seanthuistí do La na Seanthuistí. Bhain na páistí sár taitneamh as na scéalta a roinneadh leo, chomh maith leis an dreas ceoil a cuireadh ar fáil dóibh.
The whole school took part in a ceremony in Halla de Róiste and our second classes welcomed their grandparents for Grandparents’ Day. Rang 2 greatly enjoyed the stories shared and were even treated to musical performances by some of the visitors.
Rinne roinnt dár ranganna sinsireacha Crosnna Bhríde mar ullmhúchán do Lá le Bríde. ‘Sí Naomh Bríd duine de naomh phátrúin na deoise.
Some of our senior classes made St. Brigid’s Crosses in preparation for St. Brigid’s Day. St. Brigid is, of course, one of the patron saints of our diocese of Kildare and Leighlin.
