I measc bhuaicphointí na Féile, bhí Fleadh Cheoil an Chontae inar ghlac an-chuid dár bpáistí páirt.

Bhí scéalaíocht, ceardlanna sa rince céilí agus sa sean-nós (le Irene Cunningham a bhí linn i mbliana), amhránaíocht, siúlóidí, comórtas buscála, siamsaíocht agus an-chuid eile ar siúl. D’éirigh le roinnt do dhaltaí na Gaelscoile duaiseanna agus roinnt mhaith airgid a ghnóthú sa chomórtas buscála!

Seoladh leabhar dar teideal ” Carlow Folk Tales” chomh maith. Is leabhar é seo a scríobh Aideen MacBride agus a hathair, Jack Sheehan. Rinne Aideen sraith cheardlanna scéalaíochta le páistí na Gaelscoile i mbliana. http://www.thehistorypress.ie/Carlow-Folk-Tales__p-618.aspx

One of the highlights of the Festival was the Co. Carlow Fleadh Cheoil in which many of our pupils successfully took part.

Workshops were held in storytelling, céilí and sean nós dancing (with Irene Cunningham who gave dancing workshops to Gaelscoil pupils this year), singing, walks, busking competitions, street entertainment and lots more. Some Gaelscoil pupils earned prizes and lots of money in the busking competition!

The book “Carlow Folk Tales”, written by Aideen Mc Bride and her father, Jack Sheehan, was launched. Aideen gave a series of storytelling workshops to Gaelscoil pupils during this school year.
