Táimid ag ceiliúradh Sheachtain na Scoileanna Caitliceacha trí roinnt imeachtaí speisialta i rith na seachtaine seo. Chuireamar tús leis le searmanas don scoil uile i Halla de Róiste. Inniu tá seanthuistí Rang 2 ag teacht ar cuairt ar an scoil agus nach iontach an lá a bheidh acu ag roinnt scéalta lena chéile faoin saol scoile. Beidh na ranganna sinsireacha ag déanamh crosanna Bhríde. Ar an Aoine, beidh Aifreann againn i Seipéal an Teaghlaigh Naofa, in éineacht leis an nGaelcholáiste. ‘Siad An t-Easpag Denis Nulty agus An tAthair Conn, séiplíneach na scoile, a dhéanfaidh comhcheiliúradh ar an Aifreann seo. Leanfaidh Rang 6 leo go Sean Leithghlinn do lá spioradálta, áit a dtabharfaidh siad cuairt ar an Tobar Beannaithe agus ar Ard Eaglais Laisréin Naofa.

This week we mark the annual Catholic Schools Week in a number of special ways. We began the week with a whole school ceremony in Halla de Róiste. Today Rang 2 have invited their grandparents to come into school to share stories of their school days. Our senior classes will again make the traditional St. Brigid’s Crosses. On Friday, we will attend Mass in Holy Family Parish Church, Askea, in conjunction with the Gaelcholáiste. This Mass will be concelebrated by Bishop Denis Nulty and our school chaplain, An tAthair Conn Ó Maoldomhnaigh. Rang 6 will then continue to Old Leighlin for a day of spiritual contemplation where they will visit the Holy Well and St. Lazerian’s Cathedral.
