Ag teacht le scrúdaithe  Dhroim Chonraic sa Bhéarla agus sa Mhatamaitic a tugadh isteach sa chóras anseo sa Ghaelscoil ag deireadh na scoilbhliana 2019, is i bhfoirm Scóranna Caighdeánacha (Standard Scores) atá na torthaí ar na scrúdaithe caighdeánacha curtha ar fáil as seo amach. Tá míniú ar na scóranna sin sna nascanna thíos:

In line with the new Drumcondra tests in English and Maths which we introduced at the end of the 2019 school year, our  standardised test results are  shared in standardised score format. An explanation of standard scores may be found at the link at the end of this post..

Please read  the following letter issued by the The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) in light of school closures and remote learning.

Extract from the letter issued to parents re standardized tests this year:

COVID-19 and school closures this past year will have impacted children in various ways and so it is important to keep this in mind when reading your child’s end-of-year report.

Standardised tests provide a snapshot of your child’s achievement in a particular area of their learning. They do not and cannot paint the full picture of your child as a learner. Standardised tests are developed to show averages across large numbers of children. Because the tests were developed before COVID-19 happened, they do not take account of the pandemic and the ways in which it changed primary school life in this last year.

This means that the standardised tests are based on children who did not have long periods of school closure and remote learning. As a result, you may notice that your child’s standardised test score may have changed since the last time his/her sores were reported to you.

If you wish to work out  your child’s score in percentiles, this table will allow you to do so.
