Tá sé mar aidhm ag COIRM lucht bunscoile a spreagadh le seó i nGaeilge a chur ar an ardán a léireoidh na tallanna éagsúla atá ag daltaí na scoile, bídís ón rang céanna nó ó ranganna éagsúla. Sa tslí seo , bíonn Gael Linn ag súil le meas agus spéis na bpáistí sa Ghaeilge a neartú agus deis a thabhairt dóibh í a chleachtadh chomh maith. Tá Coirm dírithe go príomha ar Ghaelscoileanna agus ar bhunscoileanna Gaeltachta.
Heartiest congratulations to the páistí in Seomra 6 and their teacher, An M. Jill wh gave an excellent performance of “Where’s is my Mammy?” as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. The drama is based on the book “Monkey Puzzle”by Julia Donaldson .They also took part in the “Coirm” competition, where they scooped 3 awards and the Carlow Schools’ Irish Language Drama Festival 2022. They won awards there too and have qualified to go forward to the Leinster Final. Congratulations to Chloe who won the best overall actor on the day.
The aim of Coirm is to promote the Irish language amongst primary children and to allow them to showcase their talents, where they can work with classmates or across a few class groups. Through Coirm, Gael-Linn hopes that the children will develop an interest in the Irish language and learn an appreciation of it.
